What are yours? Are there certain foods your family makes every year? Do you gather in the same place every year? Do you eat pumpkin pie?

We always go to mom's house with my sister and her 10 kids and me and my crew of 6 and my grandma. We always sit at the same time to eat, and we all take a dried pinto bean from a bowl. Then we pass it around the table as we eat and toss the bean in the bowl and tell why we are thankful. Its pretty funny at the end, when the hubby's say someting stupid like....I'm thankful we only do this crap once a year......stuff like that.....but then every backs up the family and children bit. Its real nice.
We always have grean bean casserole.
19 yr ANNIVERSARY at Port O'Connor, TX. We went fishing for 3 days offshore. We are here at sunset, and very sunburned!

We've done different activities with the kids different years, but dinner is always the same. I cook turkey and homemade stuffing, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole (a homemade version of the Campbell's recipe), cranberry sauce, and homemade bread. Dessert will usually be pumpkin, pecan, and apple pie, and sometimes I make poppy seed rolls. Sometimes we've had friends from church join us, although usually it is just us. I'm waiting to see if our neighbors can join us this year. It feels silly to cook so much for just us.
