Holy cow. I just finished doing the level 1 workout of the 30 Day Shred. I used 5 pound weights, and my arms feel like jelly. My lungs almost hurt a little because they haven't had that much cardio work in a long time. I also did my "New Mom Workout" that I made up myself (LOL) this morning. It's just a group of exercises that I remember without prompting and I can do while playing on the floor with my son - 15 side leg raises on one side, roll onto back and do 15 crunches, roll onto the other side and do 15 side leg raises, roll onto tummy and do 15 pushups. It's what I've been doing lately to get myself moving at least a little.

The 30 Day Shred, though... man... I did weigh myself today - 232.5 pounds. For me, I'm actually excited about that weight. The last time I went into the doctor's office after I had the baby, I was almost 270! That was in December, so 2 months ago. I believe the exact weight was 264, but I don't remember for sure. I know they'll be shocked when I go in for my Depo shot in March!

Here are the measurements I took today:

l upper arm 14

On the upper arms, I could call them biceps - but let's be honest, mine's all flab! LOL My boobs have grown a LOT since being pregnant, and I almost knocked myself out during the jumping jacks and jump rope! My husband is going to love this workout LOL

The only problem that I had was that my son was very needy when I was working out. I had to stop after 5 minutes because he wanted to nurse. Then about 3 minutes before I was done, he just started crying again because I was on the floor doing crunches and he wanted to play. I don't know if anyone else runs into this problem, but help me if you do! LOL What can I do? I had all his favorite toys out and he was playing with them fine... most of the time...

I had 3 pancakes, 1 sausage patty, and 2 scrambled eggs for breakfast and I'm working on drinking my water as I write this. I don't have lunch plans yet, but so far so good! No chips and cheese for me today!
