Hi! I am new to the board and am making my first set of cloth diapers. I am using a snap in liner and am wondering what you opinion is on the cover.... I was going to use flannel, but am now thinking maybe I should use PUL.... just not sure how the baby will like feeling that fabric. Since I haven't used it before, I thought I would ask... what would you ladies recommend?

making a cover out of flannel wont be waterproof. Usually people use pul, waterproof fleece, or wool. I personally made my first covers out of wool sweaters i bought at the salvation army, and they work fantastic, just make sure you buy soft feeling sweaters.

The hybrid diapers are essentially a PUL cover with a snap in liner from what I understand. I've never used one personally, so I don't have a lot of input, but they seem to be getting popular.

The PP is correct that flannel will not make a waterproof cover. If you're concerned about the PUL on Baby's skin, you could line the cover with flannel if you want.
