I woke up on friday morning at 7:30 with some contractions I went to the bathroom to take a bath to see if that calmed things down. I went to the bathroom and saw that I was having a bloody show so I was pretty sure this was it the bath didn't help things and I noticed that my contractions were getting more intense and closer together so I called my midwife and she told me to get in the car and come right away. Well it took awhile to get things together to go and all awhile my contractions kept getting stronger. We finally left and I ended up throwing up in the car, we got there at 10:00 AM and they checked me and I was allready 7 centamers so they started filling the tub cause I wanted a waterbirth. Once that was ready I got in and it felt so good to be in the warm water. My husband rubbed my tailbone during the contractions and that helped alot it didn't take that long before I was fully dialated and ready to push I started pushing but I wasn't making much progress so they checked me and found that I still had this lip of cervix left and so the midwife put her finger up there and tried to put the lip over the baby's head she did and took her finger out and let me push some more but I still wasn't making progress so they checked again and found that the lip had gone back to where it was and she had to have her finger up there for a couple more contractions this was very painful. But it worked and then my stepmom gave me a sheet to pull on so I could push more effectively in the water my husband was also in there keeping me balanced and I pushed really hard and the head came out and then the shoulders started to come out and I lost my grasp on the sheet and it was so hard to get leverage to push the rest of the shoulders out but my midwife said you have to push you can't stop now so I pushed and the rest of her came out at 1:18 PM. She weighed 8pounds 7 ounces and was 20 and 3/8 inches tall which is bigger than they thought she would be everyone thoght she would be about 6 and a half pounds she is gorgous and I hope I'll be able to post pictures soon.
