Do you supplement with a bottle or some sort of supplemental feeding system? How does that method work for you?

I've been using a bottle (playtex drop ins, same as I used with DS1) but I'm really considering getting a SNS. I've heard and read that it works a lot better in terms of stimulating the breast to make more milk so that your supply increases or at least doesn't drop further. It seems like a huge pain in the rear versus putting the formula in a bottle but I'm willing to at least try it and see.

It does seems time consuming, but if it works, I imagine it would be worth the effort. I just use the bottle.

Well the SNS experiment was a big FAIL for me. I was right, it is a pain in the butt and I just don't have the motivation to stick with it as long/frequently as needed to get results. I think if I had been using it with him from the beginning things might be different, but I feel good about giving it a try at least.

I am using an SNS most of the time, but yes it is a PITB! I can only use it with expressed bm in it. When I was using regular formula to supplement I could use that, but now I am using Nutramigen and I am finding it clogs up in the tubing. Every time I use supplement in a bottle I try to pump immediate after and then again 10 minutes later.

I was using it to try and relactate my left breast and it just didn't work too well. I can see how formula would cause issues though. That Nutramigen definitely serves it's purpose but it is funky stuff, DH and I thought it smelled like a combo of stinky feet and cheetos.
