knox is 4 months old and i have no idea what happened to my supply over the past week, but now i am needing to supplement daily (for the past 3 days at least). i've been nursing & then need to give him a bottle afterward and he's taking 5-6 more ounces! so i'm guessing he's getting at least 8 oz a feeding.

how much does your baby eat & how old is s/he?

Remi is 4.5 months old and eats about 6-7oz a bottle every 3 hours. ( were only formula feeding now 'cause my supply dried up) PLUS rice cereal 3 times a day

Michael seems to be taking 6 ounces each feeding. I nurse when I'm home, so I don't know how often he eats - I'm thinking every 3 hours or so.

I've heard that with formula, that they need more because it takes more calories to process it - so they eat more of it...

oh - and he'll be 15 weeks on Friday.

I nurse Riley as much as I can, but he's been refusing during the day and only nursing at night. I usually make him a 6 ounce bottle.

Darn! about your supply drying up. You gave it a good go though, so nothing to feel bad about. I think we're heading the same direction. My milk went WAY down when I got sick, and we haven't been able to rebound.
