So far, I've only been sending sandwiches in ds's lunch: ham & cheese w/chips or pb w/graham crackers. But he's getting tired of sandwiches, and I don't blame him. But I don't know what else to send. He gets 60g carbs for lunch. If anyone has any fresh ideas, I'd love to hear them. TIA.

We switched to school lunches for this reason. Of course, now we're homeschooling so that isn't as much of an issue. Does he have access to a microwave? That could open up some possibilities. We've sent in left overs from dinner before. Um, tortilla chips and cheese or salsa, if he likes that kind of stuff. Wraps of any sort are easy to make. Stuffed pita pockets, kind of like sandwiches, but at least a little different. We've sent in cold pizza before. What about like macaroni or pasta salad? I don't know grabbing at straws here. I'll try and think of something better.

Danielle really likes to take soup in a thermos. For chicken noodle, the carbs are pretty low. You can add some fruit or crackers on the side. I find that she does better with sandwiches if I use small sandwich rolls or croissants, makes boring food more interesting I guess. She takes Gogurt in her lunch a lot of the time too...13g carbs for one tube.
