My ds is one month old and sometimes he'll do what will seem like a cough or a gag. There is no pattern to it and nothing ever comes out. He'll wake up sometimes and do it or before/after he feeds. He's bf and only gets maybe 1 bottle of formuls a day. Anyone else have this happen to them? He normally doesn't spit up at all (has only done it 3 times since born). Any help would be appreciated.

Hmmm....
I know that my son seemed to choke on his own saliva alot when he was a young infant- so it may be just that. Since he is so young though, I would call his pediatrician and let them know just for peace of mind. Please keep us posted and CONGRATULATIONS on the birth of your son!!!

I did call the hospital and they went through all of his symptoms and they think it might be the dry air (recommending a cool mist humidifier) since it's been so cold we've been having the heater on a lot more. We also have animals and I have those plug in air freshners in every room so we're going to take those out. Plus I just got a new vaccum and febreezed the carpets and stuff so that might have done it too. I didn't realize how much smelly stuff around this place...hehe Thank you for your response
