Started with yesterday....I was brushing her hair after her bath and noticed something in her hair. I pulled it out and after looking at it for a minute, I only came up with it was her ear tube!! As far as I now it the only one that has fallen out since she's had this set since age 3. Didn't really give it another thought till this afternoon she was just sitting around not playing like normal. I asked it she didn't feel good, and she started crying and said her ear hurt and pointed to the ear where the tube came out of. So while she was laying on the couch, I was calling a nurse to see if this was normal. And she threw-up, spiked a fever. So I gave her a bath and after the bath she was back to normal. And so far still is and I keep asking her if her ears hurt and she says no. Think I will take her in next week to her Dr. to have them looked at. I really hope we don't have to do tubes for the third time!! Has this happened to any your child?? What do you think all that was??

I can only offer my own experience with ear tubes as a kid (had them a LOT). They do fall out on thier own, though I don't remember having a reaction like that. It could be something where it's messing with her equalibrium- but that wouldn't explain the fever. I would definately keep an eye on her this weekend and take her in on Monday to be sure. Keep us posted!

Oh, what did it look like? Did the Dr. tell you what to expect with this, and what it would look like?

that sounds a bit right. I can't believe they stayed in for so long! I hope she's feeling better, and keep us posted on what the Dr. says.
