Hi! I am Natalie and I am popping in from the March 08 PR. My LO, Ethan, is 2 1/2 and it seems like every morning he wakes up with congested breathing and (TMI) some snot dried on his face.

I have passed it off as allergies or just a cold for the past couple weeks, but I was wondering it could be sleep apnea. Has anyone ever dealt with this?

I really doubt it's sleep apnea. I have sleep apnea myself, but I never wake up like that. I bet it's either a cold or allergies. I would make sure he gets a bath right before bed, clean out his nose well, and make sure you change the sheets often. If his pillow is more than a year old, you can get a new one. If his stuffed animals are washable, wash them. If not, wipe them down really well.

If it lasts to long I would visit the dr. You don't want it to settle in their chest and become something worse. If its just allergies they may be able to prescribe something that will help or offer suggestions of things that will help. I hope he starts feeling better soon. You could also look into a humidifier or air purifier for the room.

Thanks .:Shortcake:. for my great siggie

My DD has sleep apnea and she doesn't do that. It sounds like allergies to me

Thank you, tasha_mae, for my siggy!
