How are your kids? Do they take care of the pets? Do they annoy the pets? Did your children play a roll in how your pets were chosen (age, allergies, etc.)?

We had our pets first.

DD is okay-ish with them. She sometimes hits/pulls on their tails (2 cats and a dog) but overall, she is good. She will feed the dog if he is out of food.

Props to ~:Kellarazzi:~ for my fab siggy.

we have two kittens, they are about 5months old.
My oldest feeds, waters and changes the litterbox, my 3yr old will help if she asks him to.
we are wondering about allergies with our youngest, but we will find out when he sees an allergist. Right now i just vacum everyday and we bath the cats with stuff that is supposed to help control allergies.
I think the cats play a major part in the kids lives, even our youngest likes to play with them and can cuddle them. Im glad we got them when they were little and could be exposed to the kids.

We have a bird, 2 cats (indoor) 1 dog (outdoor, but sleeps inside when its cold) and 2 horses.

The kids help with what they can, and their favorite is by far the horses.

Big thanks to KimberlyD0 for my amazing siggy

We have 3 guinea pigs. We have had guinea pigs since before we had our children but they are perfect pets for them - they are big enough that they can pet and play with them but small enough that they live in their cage without having the run of the place.

Angelica loves helping to care for them - she feeds them and sometimes helps clean them out. Our newest guineapig, George, is her pet - she even named him, and dotes on him. Both girls are really gentle with them and adore them

~ Thank you Patty for my awesome siggy! ~
