Do your kids complain about being sick or hurt all the time? ... or worse, do they not complain enough at times when they really should?

My oldest rarely complains about something hurting, which has led to worse than necessary injuries or illnesses in the past. My youngest is pretty normal in his complaints.

Every time Kaija even just brushes against something a little rough, she's cries. It's actually led to me dismissing bigger injuries. She's also having some growing pains (we assume?) that have had her in extreme crying fits. On the flip side last winter she had a raging double ear infection that was about to rupture one of her ear drums and she said nothing about her ears hurting.

Kolbie seems to be fairly normal in her reactions so far.

Violet only cries when she falls really hard.

Lily normally just shakes it off and won't cry unless it really hurts or there is blood. I try not to make a big reaction when they get hurt though so that they don't pick up on my emotions, because for my kids they cry harder if they see me freak out.
