I prefer dryer sheets b/c I like my clothes to smell like the fabric softener/detergent, and with the liquid stuff my clothes didn't smell as good. That's the only reason though. I didn't notice a difference in softness. Once I can convince my hubby to put up a clothes line in the back yard I'll be using the liquid stuff on certain items that I plan to line dry.

I use dryer sheets in the dryer and liquid stuff whenever I can hang the clothes on the line to dry. I like the dryer sheets much better, clothes are never soft when they are hung out to dry, but they do smell good and I'm saving energy so it's worth it.
