Today was my 36 week appt (even though I'm not 36 weeks until Saturday, but whatever). I've gained another 4 lbs, so I'm at 15 lbs total gain since the beginning of my pregnancy. Last time, I gained 30lbs at 38 weeks, so I'm still ahead of that, but I was really hoping to top out at 15 lbs this time (I'm not a thin girl and my OB wanted me to shoot for that).

He says Deuce's head is pretty "in there" which I figured since I was pretty sure he had dropped. They're still encouraging me to go for the VBAC, but are keeping a watchful eye on his size. They will not induce with pitocin, but he encouraged me to try any natural induction methods I want after 38 weeks (except castor oil). He will allow me to go to 41 weeks before insisting on another csection.

Between now and 2/11, if I go into labor they will try one shot of terbutiline to stop contractions. If they don't stop, they won't do anything else to stop it. After that, it's fair game! He didn't do an internal exam, but when we were talking about BH, he said that he thinks Deuce will be here around 38 weeks. It's just kind of hitting that realistically, I could be a mom of two any day or at least in the next couple of weeks.

I had an U/S today. The tech said he was just shy of 6lbs. Since at this point, they'd expect him to gain another 1/2# each week. That means, if we go to 40 weeks, they'd expect him to be about 8.5# which is just about where Liam was at 38 weeks.

She said that he's a little on the big side, but not huge. His head is measuring large, which we totally expected since Liam had a big head too.

Come on Baby! 38 weeks sounds pretty good to me!

I cannot wait for him to be born! Liam was so squishly, cuddly and cute when he was a newborn, and I want to see another.
