Butt hurt. I hate that phrase. Dh came back from Korea saying that about everything. When I got my feelings hurt then I was "butt hurt". I told him it was immature one day because I was so pissed off that he said it and he said he didn't care and he was going to keep saying it.

I've never heard that phrase before!

Anywho is one of those words that bugs me.
When people say "aks" or "ekscape" for ask or escape. And other words of the like.

Man, it'd be a shorter list if I just wrote the words/phrases that DO NOT annoy me...let's just let that be my short answer for this question, k?

I've never heard of some of these either... But Lesha I'm with you. That was the first thing that came to mind. I hate when people say axe instead of ask.

When ever I vent to DH about something that we can't control, he just shrugs his shoulders and says, "it is what it is" ugh it gets me so annoyed. Oh and when people call diabetes "the sugar".

When someone calls something GAY, or when students call me MISS.

Both drive me nuts.

I don't really hear people say this wrong very often, but when I see it typed out or written this really bugs me: I vs. me - there ARE times when ME is the right word, people!

For example, my friend ALWAYS posts stuff like this on her pics on FB - Here is a great pic of Ryan and I. In that case, wouldn't it be "me" instead b/c you wouldn't say "Here is a great pic of I"...anyway...it peeves me. Jenn, am I right or wrong in that case? LOL

here's a real example from her fb -

Quote:
I think it scarred G more than M or I.
Wouldn't that be "me" in that case as well?

Yes Liza, you are correct. In any case, if you take away the other person's name and "I" is incorrect, you would use "me."

For example:

Jeremy and I went to the store.
I went to the store.

Emma wanted Jeremy and me to read her story.
Emma wanted me to read her a story.

The other person's name always goes first.

Thanks for asking me!!
