Anyone here affected by the hurricane? How did you fare? Any damage?

I live in Delaware, so we were right in the middle of it. Thankfully other than a few branches (nothing huge) coming down, we came out just fine. Surprisingly we didn't even lose any power or internet. I was fully expecting my basement to be flooded too, but it's dry!

We are in NJ and a lot of people near us were greatly affected by it. In our town, a few houses literally washed away into the bay and others were knocked off their foundations and are now sitting leaning against one another. I'm from Toms River, near Seaside (Jersey Shore) and a lot of people we know lost everything. My family had no power for a week, my in laws had their basement flood. Seeing places I've been going all my life be completely wiped away has been very hard. Overall though, I have been very lucky. We were evacuated but were lucky to come home to an intact house with power. It was amazing considering we are on a little island surrounded by marshes and the bay. We expected worse for our town.
