This morning I feel a little dizzy. I thought I might have the flu or something, so I took my temperature. It's low--in the 96 range! And I tested with two different thermometers, so I know it's likely not a problem with that.

I have looked it up on line, and these symptoms point to anemia, low blood pressure, hypothyroid.

I am a bit anemic, but I have been taking iron. I always have low blood pressure. I had it taken yesterday and there was no concern.

None of the advice I looked at screamed call you doctor--it said to drink fluids, keep eating foods with water, eat protein. But should I still call? The dizziness isn't too bad, but bad enough that I don't want to drive to work. Thankfully I can work from home for now.

Hmmm, I would say if the dizziness and temp changes keeps up to call, but I have had this a couple times throughout too. And my temp is usually low, like 96-97. Is yours normal otherwise?

It could be the anemia, I get like this too, its horrible. BUT I would call your doctor, because like you said, you are on iron so the anemia shouldn't be bothering you that bad.

Hang in there hun!

You could still be getting a cold. My BP always plunges when my immune system is trying to fight something off. I would say rest, drink plenty of water, some vitamin C if your heartburn will allow it, and take it really easy today. If it's not better by tomorrow, I'd call. But I don't think that low bp or an anemic dip is going to hurt the baby in 24 hrs as long as you're not overtaxing yourself. And it will probably stabilize on its own. That's just my thinking anyway....

I had checked my temp right after drinking OJ; I just checked it again and it was fine.

I'm still staying home for now, and if I still don't feel so hot this afternoon I will call. It's really not so bad--something I'd ignore if I weren't pregnant. But I know not to do that now!
