....for more than 48 hours, what would YOU do to survive it?

Would you try and grill up frozen meats? And grill most foods?
(Paula, we can put pots and pans on a grill! LOL)

What would you do to occupy yourself and child(ren)?

Or, would you try to find someone you could stay with until it came back on?

My parents town is still without power and my father couldn't even make it until dark without begging to borrow a generator from a friend. All because he can't live with out TV.

I would leave the house as much as possible. We have gas cooking so that would not be an issue.

Thanks to Claire1979 for the amazing siggy.

ROFL Nicole! Seriously, I never would have thought of that. I'm not very handy without power. LOL

I'd totally go somewhere or Jay would go buy a generator. We were without it for about 8 hours and he was ready to go buy one. Now it's on his "To buy" list because he doesn't want it to happen again.
We're seriously lame! LOL

If my Mom had power and roads were open, we'd go there.. or to Jay's Grandma's.

How would I watch DOOL or the Indians without power??? Emily and I were so desperate that we sat in the van. I charged my phone and she watched a movie. ROFL

I don't really have to worry about losing power my town has backup power but we have had rolling blackouts though with only having power every other hour for a week, we put a headlamp on Elise so she could see and we could see her

A couple of years ago our area lost power for almost a week. There was a huge storm we had power lines down, and several roads collapsed.

We have a gas stove so we can still use our stove, we'd grill out a lot. We also have a gas water heater, so we still have water so we can shower. At night we'd use camp lanterns or we also have an old oil lamp.

For entertainment we'd play board games, read, go to the park or the library.
