Most of us, when we find out we're pregnant, start to plan ahead. There are so many decisions to make, with l&d and when the baby comes. I have always been fascinated with the different decisions of moms to be! I've heard of water births, home births, and things like that. Obviously, things don't always go as planned, but I think it's nice to hear and share our hopes and wishes. So...

Have you made any definite decisions, about L&D? Any birthing plans? Do you insist on NOT having an epi, or any drugs for that matter? Have you decided you want a water birth? Are you completely set on using cloth diapers, when the baby is born?

ME? I know for a fact, I am not strong enough to go through labor and delivery without drugs!! I completely look up to the women who do without!! I don't have any specific birthing plan. I'm pretty "ordinary" or boring! lol Maybe this is why hearing other stories really fascinates me!!... I think the only thing I'm set on, is using as many organic products as I can, when the baby is born. And, I'm still trying to decide on a vaccination schedule. The events I've been though this year, has opened my eyes to a lot of things I've never thought about before.

I am pretty much the same...all I know so far is that I am going to try to do all organic baby products also and I would like to do without the epi, but since this will be my first baby, I am well aware that I may not feel the same way in the moment, so I am open to it if I need it. I just hope I will be able to have a vaginal birth and not a c-section, supposedly the recovery is easier...is that true? My friend had a C-section and she is having a horrible time trying to lose the baby weight now and she says her stomach is like a flabby pouch still...and it has been almost a year.
Thank you Jaydinsmum for my amazing siggy!

I went into my first pregnancy hoping not to take the drugs and epi. I caved and got them. This time I really want not to. I WILL be using the tub at the hospital! I didn't get to last time and was so mad! We very part time cloth diaper now (well I do...). And we did use organic baby food, but I'm not all that into that stuff. Otherwise, we'll do it all the same again.

I had an epi with Grant and it was a fine labor experience.

With Dean, I had an unmedicated child birth and it was the BEST experience I have had. I cannot say enough good things about it. I am usually one that doesn't take pain well, but this was different.

Mylene and Lisa - You should make your way over the the Natural Childbirth board - there's lots of wonderful women who can give you great support if you think you'd like to try for a NCB!!
