Well i finally went for my scan today and to find out the sex of our baby and like last time the baby was very 'LAZY', and didnt cooperate so we are still in the know nothing stage.
I am so disappointed i was in their 50 minutes and the obstitrition tried wobbling my belly, got me poking it while se did the paper work, we tried everything to find out babys sex with absolutely no luck at all, babys legs was tight closed.

Also they mentioned i had little water around the baby AFI being 9.4 (but baby did have right measurements everywhere where suppose to)
They sent me to see the midwifes at the hospital where i was told they need to scan again in 3 weeks time (16th Dec) to see if i have the same amount, less or more water. If i have less that is not good, if i have more then we are back on track (but im really concerned now) basically if its the same amount of water or less then they need to keep doing scans and i need to be seen by someone (doctor at hospital wise) and we can go from there.
Im still a little confused about all this, what is the AFI suppose to measure at 19+5 weeks? I know the danger is when it goes below 5, and mine is 9.4.
Does anyone know more about this please?????
The midwife was asking had i lost any water, which i dont think i have and i think i would know if i had, Right? or would I?

Very Confused Vanessa

Sorry you didn't find out the gender yet. I'm not sure about the water amount. I don't remember what they say from my past pregnancy.

I'm not sure where it should be. I know a friend of mine was induced at 34 weeks b/c her water was too low. They gave her steroids before and her baby was small but fine otherwise.

I'm sorry that your ultrasound didn't go well, and you got iffy news I don't know anything about the water level...could you call your doctor's office and ask them to clarify? I hope everything turns out fine!

I would also advise you to call back and get clarification on everything. I'd hate waiting all those weeks just wondering and being confused until your next scan. Good luck!

I am sorry that your u/s didn't go as planed! Here is some info if you are interested

Low amniotic fluid levels : Oligohydramnios : American Pregnancy Association
Was the 9.4 cm or mm?

Either way I hope it all turns out well and I agree with becker206 you need to ask all your questions because waiting and being scared or confused isn't going to help the situation!

I'm not sure what the levels should be, but I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers that everything ends up fine. I know all my amounts were somewhere in the high 13s.
