A couple of questions girls....

1. I have no idea if I feel Baby Acorn moving. This is my very first pregnancy, so I don't know what to expect. Does it feel like a gas bubble? Like popcorn popping? Is it a quick little twinge that lasts for just a moment?

2. I don't think she's moving around a whole lot. I keep finding the HB in roughly the same area every time. I know it's her HB, as I count it out each time. Her HB is consistently in the mid 150s. The good news is that I can find her pretty easily. Should I be concerned that I keep finding it in the same place every time?

Thanks in advance! This newbie really appreciates it!
Thank you JAIDYNSMUM for my adorable new siggy!

I don't know how else to explain it except that I get a bit of vertigo when baby rolls. It does sort of feel like a gas bubble moving slowly across, but so faint for me right now. The taps feel like someone tapping with their finger (not their nail) lightly on a window. This is what I'm feeling now at 14 wks. When I was much further along with Jacob, you get the full on jabs (that hurt sometimes). The best is when they physically push your belly out and you can see their little heel or elbow poke your belly out. It's the weirdest, most wonderful feeling in the world WIth Jacob, I didn't feel anything until 18 weeks or so. I recognize the "vertigo" feeling and the faint taps which is the only reason I think I can feel it now. Don't worry, you'll be getting punched and kicked soon enough As far as the doppler questions, I have never owned one. My doctor asks that we don't get them because we can worry ourselves too much over them so i just never thought about them until I started on the ddc board. I wouldn't worry though about finding the hb in the same location. I know they move a lot, but they are still pretty small at this point so you are going to be in the same relative area I'm sure.

For me it feels like someone is softly flicking the inside of my belly right below my belly button. I can easily tell the difference because I feel the gas in my back now. As for judging where baby is by the heartbeat, I think its the opposite. For weeks we've been picking her HB up on the right side of my belly and she's actually laying on my left side.

Lite rolls, popcorn, gas bubbles, all have been used to describe the first movements ts....At 16wks, you might feel more "taps" or "rolls" now, rather than the flutters or popcorn. I cant for the life of me remember when I felt my first baby for the first time.......At 17wks+, I feel actual "light kicks" now, or harder thumps...and alot more frequently through the day.

As for the doppler, finding the h/b in the same general area is normal at this point. But dont be surprised that now that you have said this, you find it in a completely different spot tomorrow!!
momma of 8 beautiful children now. Most recent is Jerry Jr. born 11/19/12 at 37wk, 7lbs 6oz and 19.5inches and Baby Reymundo born 10/7/13 at 35w6d, 6lbs 7oz, 19.5 inches. Momma of 5 angels. New siggy to come!

I've been feeling this baby for around a week, but I didn't feel it with my son until 19 weeks. I feel this one rolling, and get little kicks here and there. It's a hard feeling to describe!

I only surely felt my little one once 2 weeks ago. It was very strong and like pop corm popping. Since then I have been hoping to feel more, but the only thing I am feeling is something like little gas bubbles right in the middle of my belly. I am quite sure it is not gas cuz I always get this movement in the same spot - right around where baby should be. I am with you here and cannot wait to feel more to be sure that baby is finally poking me.

I'm 18 weeks, but with Cohen, I can feel him rolling (that's an odd feeling!), small kicks which almost feel like twitches...like have you ever got an occasional twitch in your eye or leg? It's like that but on the inside! My mom always said with her pregnancies that it felt like gas, but I don't think it does at all...it's a very distinct feeling...that being said, I BARELY felt Hayden moving until he was a bit larger...sometimes you're more intuitive the second time around, I think. I'm not sure really!

Everything you are describing sounds like what's happening to me, also. Although once I did get kicked so hard I yelped. I wasn't expecting it, I was 14 weeks. This baby doesn't move a ton yet and it's USUALLY just a little. By 14 weeks with my daughter she was hosting a gymnastics club. This one is riding the EAC (remember Finding Nemo...)
Thanks Kiliki for the siggy!

I'm just so excited to feel that first "official" movement!! Of course, I should be careful what I wish for -- this kiddo is going to have super long legs like her dad and mom, so I'm sure she'll be kicking up a storm soon!
Thank you JAIDYNSMUM for my adorable new siggy!

it's typically with your first not to feel movement until 19 - 20 weeks - and at that point it will be little taps. right now you could be having gas bubble feelings - thats baby!!

We're 17 weeks along now and I've felt baby but mostly flutters still with an occasional nudge.

My best time to check is at my desk at work just a little while after lunch. I sit back in my chair so I'm reclined back, belly sort of pooched out, and put my hands on my belly. And I just sit real still for a second, so that I can pay attention (ha). But you'll feel the little bumps.

I felt her earlier, but couldn't be SURE it was her, but now I know it is. (i say her, but we don't know for another 21 days!!)

I haven't felt it yet and didn't feel Ally at this time either - at least it's not noticeable enough for me to really know yet. Sometimes I see my stomach move to the heartbeat though when I am laying down.

Yep... ditto to all the girls. I actually didn't feel DD til I was 22 weeks along last time, and this one, I barely began to feel recently. It's still that popcorn/fluttering feeling and it's distinct, barely noticable, but most certainly baby. It's also fleeting for me, lasting only a few seconds at most, but I can feel it!

Hat's off to Vicki for my cute siggy, thank you!
