Hi all,

I'm scheduled to be induced on the 17th at 6 a.m. and feel as though I'm going in completely blind.

LITERALLY all they've told me is show up at the hospital on the appropriate time/date.

I'm thinking there has got to be some things that haven't told me that I should know. Any mommies have any advice/hints?

EAT! lol - once they start the process you arent aloud to eat - so eat well and rest well. if they are going to do a cervix ripener first before they put it in GO PEE! You aren't supposed to pee for at least an hour after they put it in and it can tingle/burn a little making you want to pee more than you normally do - i felt like i was going to pee the bed by the time i got to go

Yes, Eat! A lot! Then go in. Don't really have any expectations. Just go with the flow. Listen to your nurse. She'll guide you through the process. Get an epidural! lol

Mine went like this. 5AM started on pit. 10am broke my water. Contractions immediately were horrible. 11am epidural. Took two tries. Started pushing at 8:30 pm. Born at 10:30pm. I wasn't "good" at pushing. Hopefully, you'll be a better pusher! lol They kept telling me to push while pulling my knees towards my chest. It actually worked better for me to think of it as pushing my knees towards the bed. Just try different things and ask the nurse to tell you when you do it well.
