Anyone giving their LO pedisure? Are you doing so per the doctors advice, or did you decide so on your own?
I've thought about it for Kylie. She's a peanut, and barely eats anything I offer her. These past few weeks, she hasnt been drinking nearly as much milk either. I'm getting a little concerned that she may not be getting the balanced diet she needs. I *think* her Dr may have suggested pediasure if it would make me feel better. Just wondering if I should run it by him again, or if it's a decision "dr. Mom" can make on her own?

I was giving Collin pediasure when he wasn't eating so much...and he is hit or miss when it comes to eating. I would try it...even though it's expensive it is chock full of good stuff!

Dr recommended Lauren drink pediasure in place of her milk because she is just too busy to want to eat. He wanted her to have between 16 and 24 oz a day but I felt that was too much and that gets expensive. We do one a day after breakfast and then if she doesn't eat much food during I'll give her another one after dinner.

I would definitely recommend it. Even if you just give her one serving (4 oz.) a day, it would be beneficial for helping her gain weight/ get any nutrients she's missing.

Jasmine was losing weight on whole milk, so the nutritionist wrote us a prescription for it. If you do ask your doctor, see if you can get your insurance to cover some of the cost as it can get pretty expensive.

The only problem we've had is that Jasmine refuses to drink milk now because she likes the sweet flavor of the pediasure. She's probably gained 4 pounds since we started it in May, so I've been really happy about that though.

Also, its pretty sweet so I worry about her teeth rotting.

Thanks for all the feedback! I didn't stop to think about the sweetness. I really try to limit her sweets. Can it be mixed with whole milk to make it less sweet?

Its loaded with sugar...but if its the only real high sugar thing she gets during the day I dont see why it should be a problem.

I'm about to feed Nick donuts to get him to gain some weight.

*thanks to Madge for my fab siggy!*
