Where are your LO's as far as their soft spots on their head? Laken's seems to still be very prominent, and I just don't remember when they went away with my other kids. Just wanted to see where everyone else was at.

Gavin's seems to be closed?? I don't think the drs question it til 18 months, at least that is what happened to my friend, her little guy is 18 months and the dr didn't mention it til now. All he wants is for him to come back for a 21 month check up.

(he is adopted and has other issues so I don't know if that is why the concern at 18 months or not)

maybe ask at her next check up?

THANK YOU Jaidynsmum

Gavin Betsy

Kellen's was HUGE but it's been closing and I think is almost closed now. They say typically by 18 to 24 months, the skull will have fused shut and hardened to be the helmet meant to be, and the soft spot is no longer "needed" to be that cushion for the skull to move into if there's trauma (I don't know how to best explain it, but it made sense when my doc mentioned it).

Anyway, I was told most by 18 months, but some by 24 months.

It's still there, but not as large as it used to be. When he was a newborn, I took him to the ER because I thought it was sunken in Turns out he was just bald.

She is sleeping right now, so I'll have to look when she gets up...but I haven't noticed in quite a while so I'm guessing it's just about closed. It used to freak me out because i could always see her heartbeat in it! And Amy..I remember when you said you took Max in for that!
