Just wondering what kinds of activities keep your LO's busy while playing out in the yard. My LO gets bored easily - we have a step 2 plastic slide\clubhouse set that doesn't keep his attention for very long. I'm thinking of getting a sand & water table too. I used to take him out on play dates or to parks every morning but I just don't have the energy to keep doing that.

SprinklerSome other ideas:

Wading pool full of ball-pit type balls

Helping with clothesline (she loves this, she's such a goofball)

Bubbles (scented and colored are fun)

Sidewalk chalks or crayons

Bug net- even though she never catches anything but one of the dogs

ditto to all the above.
We have the step two playscape with 2 slides she enjoys, but she also just got a much bigger one with swings, trapeze hanger, slide and rock wall she's loving.
We have a water table, a sprinkler, sand table, and worse comes to worst, we kick the ball around, play with bubbles. i haven't yanked out the sidewalk chalk yet, but picking flowers and weeding the gardens is another helpful idea - you just have to be prepared to prune more than you wanted to.
She also has a tricycle and bubble mower she likes to play with.

The pool and the park. We have so many mosquitoes- they sit on our front door and wait for us to open it!
