My first midwife appointment is in one week, March 1st. I was at my family doctor last week for my sinus infection and she asked me why I hadn't booked in with her for another prenatal appointment. I told her I got in a with a midwife. She was not impressed. She said I should question any midwife who would take me on since I'm a VBA2C. She supports my decision for a VBA2C but thinks I should be under the care of an OB. She also mentioned that maybe the midwife doesn't know I'm a VBA2C since they don't take patients like me. So I started to worry that maybe the midwife didn't know, because when I called to get in with the midwife clinic, I spoke to the receptionist who took my information and said she would give it to the midwives and they pick which patient's they take on. So I called my midwife clinic today to confirm that they're aware I'm a VBA2C and they said they are! So I'm still going to be with my midwife! YAY! I can't wait until March 1st, it can't come quickly enough!

Huge thanks to *Kiliki* for the FANTABULOUS new siggy!!

Yay!!! Congrats!! I think the doctor was just voicing their concerns, but if your midwife is willing to take you on, I'm sure she's great!!

Yay for your midwife and on your family dr. If you are interested, here is a blog posted by a woman who just had a VBA2C (well hers was a HBA2C).

THATS AWESOME NEWS! I am sure your m/w will care for you just as an OB would! Take that to your PCP!

Yay!! It's great that your midwife will do it, and you'll hopefully get the birth that you want!
