Have any of you experienced a regression in your LO's eating habits? Madeleine was eating 5-6 oz during the day and would eat very voraciously and eat every 3 hours on the dot no matter what! Sunday afternoon to now she is still refusing to eat much. She is not interested in eating and I have to entice her and even then she will eat only 4 ounces (if I'm lucky), but she is spitting up alot more than normal and losing maybe an ounce each time, sometimes more. She is already on Zantac twice a day. She is also being lethargic and sleeping more than normal. She used to take 1 nap, maybe, a day and today I picked her up from daycare and they said she only woke up twice today and ate 3 ounces each time then back to sleep. Should I be worried?

Thank you *Kiliki* for my amazing siggy!!!

She may be finishing off a growth spurt. The sleeping more than usual could very well just be her getting her growing in. Have you checked her temperature? If you are worried though you can always call her pediatrician and give them the situation to see what he/she has to say about it.

Same with Calvin. When we first started daycare, I was sending him with 5 ounce bottles. A couple of weeks in, he started to be real fussy at the bottle and was lucky to drink 3-4 ounces. Now I'm only sending him with 4 ounces and he does fine.

Oh yes. This happened for the past two days and it is just starting to get better. It happens 1-2 times a month I have noticed for a couple days.

I had eating regression with Asher too and it was right around 3 1/2 - 4 months old.

I think it was a growth spurt too.

BUT if you feel something may be wrong, call your ped and get her checked out. there is no harm in that. My older son Cecil was Very iron deficiant and he was lathargic, didn't eat well ext for months, but I think that is very rare.

It's normal growth spurt behavior. The sleepy couple of days usually come right after the constantly awake eating nonstop couple of days. Charlie's just starting her sleepiness...she's been eating like a monster for 4 days now!
