Our ped and dentist who is also a good friend of ours says to only use a washcloth and water a few times a day making sure to get at the gums good until after 1, but I wondered how everyone else was doing it.
Many blessings,

We have a rubber finger brush. I've just been doing water. I was going to pick up some training toothpaste this weekend though.

Eeks... I still forget the majority of the time!! I know that's HORRIBLE!!! I usually just wipe his gums with a washcloth when I do remember. Gosh, I have got to put a big sign on the nursery wall that says WIPE HIS GUMS. I don't know why I can't remember to do that. Bad bad mommy :/

He just got his first 2 teeth last week, so I need to get on that soon! I figured we would talk to the ped about it at our 9 month appt. next Friday.

Don't worry Jaime, I've yet to ever clean Taylor's!! Ha! She has recently started chewing on the wet washcloth in the bath, so I guess that would count, right? She still only has her bottom 2 teeth.
Baby Taylor arrived on 01/04/2011 at 9:26pm weighing 7lbs 8oz and 19 inches long

We're still toothless over here, but I am not sure I would have even thought to clean her teeth just yet. Good to know!

Amelia's got 6 teeth right now. I bought a baby toothbrush a week or two ago and just give a little brushing 1x a day or so. Not too long or too forced though, I want it to be a positive thing. She likes it so far and even got mad when I took it away once or twice! I let her chew on it too so she can get the feel for holding it/having it in her mouth.
No toothpaste here.
Born Jan 25th, one day after her duedate, 10 pounds 1.5 ounces, 23 inches long. A harrowing birth, but our Angel is here! My dream come true.

I was using a finger brush on her gums and 2 bottom teeth, but now that Sadie has 6 teeth & she can bite hard I got this : http://www.amazon.com/Baby-Buddy-Bab...8643688&sr=8-1

its SO awesome! Sadie will chew on it for so long! Its like a teether and a toothbrush. Sometimes I'll put a little baby toothpaste on it, but a lot of the time I just let the little bristles do the job.

Mere only has two teeth and i wipe the with a washcloth 2x a day. When I think about it I use the finger brush as well. As more teeth come in we'll use a regular brush. When I was in the Dentist office last week getting cleaning 's for my other 7 the dentist suggested that we add Mere to the cleaning rotation @ our next visit in April!!!! I was like she only has two teeth, she said yeah but we want to be proactive as she passed me an Oral B infant toothbrush. At 1st I was like yeah ...you just want the extra$$$ but as I thought about it she is right. ( Note to self...get of high horse now!!!)

No teeth here, but we've been wiping with a washcloth at bathtime pretty much since she was born. And Mackey, an appt. in April seems early to me. My sister is a dentist, and she hasn't even seen DS yet, who will be 3 in January. She does want to see him at our next visit, though.
