well i had roran and took him to his "wellness" appointment and they gave him like 6 shots in his thighs ...

poor child was so upset .. but really what upset me was how he woke up ... he NEVER SCREAMS >.. and this baby was screaming his little tush off!

its shocking to me how other mothers handle the pain they see in their children ... i wish i was stronger but made me cry ..

i know that things he has to go thru and i have to just be strong .. but its really hard when your child s in pain

6 shots??? What in the heck did he get??? At 2 months we only had 2 shots and the Rota which is an oral vaccine.

Depending on the vaccine, some will make them sore afterwards. Cole screamed alot the night after his shot but some lovin and some Tylenol eased the pain.

you can givehim tylenol and use ice packs to help.he doesn't have to stay in major pain from it.

Ariana did the same thing and she only got two shots, since I refused a couple of them. It was miserable to watch her scream and cry. I recommend Tylenol, but it takes a while to kick in.

The DTaP can be REALLY sore afterward. I just got one in January, that thing HURTS. So warm compresses and gentle massage to break up the lump under the skin and that should be better.

Both girls got DTaP today. And the day after is always the worst for us, so I'm not looking forward to tomorrow.
