Parker almost refuses to eat baby food now. He will wave his hands and knock it from my hands. If I put food out in front of him that he can pick up, he will eat it. So I have concluded that he just doesn't want me to feed it to him.

My question is, what foods do you feed baby that they can feed themselves? I saw that some of you are doing fruit, so I thought I would get some of the little fruit cups. Just let me know because I need to do some grocery shopping this weekend!!

Green beans, pasta, cooked carrots, cereal, crackers... I know there is more - bt I am not awake yet! Pasta is great though - I get the whole wheat pasta and he loves it!

That was pretty much how Taylor told us she was done with baby food too

I feel like I'm always struggling to find finger foods for Taylor to eat. There are some other threads from the past week or so that have some ideas too. Here is some of what she eats now. I hope this helps:

Peaches from a can cut up
Pears (I just cup up a fresh pear and she will eat it, it's soft enough)
Grapes cut up
Blueberries cut in half
watermelon cut up
Peas from a can
Carrots from a can
green beans from a can
Zucchini steamed in zip lock steamer bags
Sweet Potatoes cut up and steamed in a bag^
Regular white potatoes
Broccoli steamed
Cauliflower steamed
Chicken cut up
shredded pork
Tortillas cut up (just plain)
Baby Taylor arrived on 01/04/2011 at 9:26pm weighing 7lbs 8oz and 19 inches long

Ethan stopped eating baby food at 8 months, now he just eats whatever I am eating. The only things he doesn't have are : nuts (choking), and honey. I just make everything else small enough for him. he ate pasta, the long noddle kind, and chicken last night.
