Is Santa coming to your house this year? Does Santa wrap gifts or are they unwrapped? Does Santa bring one gift or lots of gifts? What Christmas traditions are you going to carry over for you LO?

Santa always brought most of the gifts and we would get one present from my parents. Santa wrapped all your gifts in the same paper and then your stocking was in front of your gifts so you knew which ones were yours. If you got a gift that required batteries, they were in your stocking making it that much more fun to find the gift they belonged to. DH and I were talking about it and Santa always brought us both an apple and orange in our stocking. I've never met anyone else that got fruit in their stocking.

I'll probably get flack for this. But I hate Santa Claus. I don't want to do it. I don't plan to get Logan's picture with him. So far we have never done Santa at our house. Every year I try to convince my DH that I'm right but he doesn't agree but he doesn't fight me on it either. Ian has mentioned Santa a few times and I usually just don't say anything. I really don't think he'll notice if he doesn't have any gifts marked from Santa.

We will most definitely be doing Santa!! Most presents will come from him and they will all be wrapped in different paper from the gifts we get her (it would be too much of a coincidence that Santa AND mommy and daddy got their wrapping paper at Costco! LOL!) We will leave milk and cookies out for Santa along with a note and a carrot for Rudolph of course.

We always got fruit in our stocking too, along with batteries DH has a Santa outfit so I'm trying to convince him to put it on that morning How cool would that be...well prob more cool when they are older and know who Santa is, but still.....

Christmas Eve we go to DH's father and step mom's house and do presents there and celebrate. Then the next day his mom and step dad will come over.

Oh, and we used to have a birthday cake on Christmas and sing happy birthday to baby Jesus, so I want to start doing that again too

And I need to start wrapping soon, between Taylor, DH and all the gifts we've had mailed to us, I have a crapload of wrapping to do!!
Baby Taylor arrived on 01/04/2011 at 9:26pm weighing 7lbs 8oz and 19 inches long

I wrap as I buy so it's not so overwhelming. Natalie's gifts from Santa are all on the table in the formal dining room. I suppose I'll have to get more sly and hide them eventually but I'm going to take advantage of her having no clue for at least this year. We have two Christmas trees and I put the presents under the tree in the formal living room since we are rarely in there. She likes to play around the tree in the family room that we use every day so I didn't want to tempt her into ripping them open too soon.

I'm glad you get this first year to figure out how things work. We talked about taking Natalie to the mall to meet Santa all weekend and finally made it out the door at 4:45 on Sunday. We get to the mall and of course Santa leaves at 5:00. Fortunately, I was the only one that was disappointed since she clearly had no clue that's why we were at the mall. Now we know Santa's hours so I won't have to explain to a screaming two year old why Santa can't see her that day.
