I know LOs do speech at different paces, and its still really early, and I'm totally not worried or anything.... Just seems like the majority of the LOs in here are at least saying Mama and Dada. Sam makes those sounds but doesn't connect the meaning yet. He babbles but no words.

What are your babies saying, or have any not said anything yet?

Michael only associates Dada with dada. Mama is just mamamamamamamamam (almost in frustration!) Which is odd - cause he started out saying mama (Or was it mum mum??)

I'm not worried, and neither was the ped. Ped said that he probably is saying things that you don't even realize he is saying! Also - he does understand things. If I say "yummy yummy!" He rubs his belly.... if I say "where is your horse?" he walks to his gliding horse....

natalie finally said da-da in a recognizable form and clearly directed at DH while we were in Phoenix. The first real ma-ma that was clearly directed at me was earlier this week. before that, there were lots of sounds that were close or she would say da-da but be looking at the newspaper or something random.

Funny part is I think cat was her first word because she has been saying it clear as day for almost a month now. We both blew it off like she can't possibly really be saying cat. She scoots after the cats shrieking cat, cat, cat over and over so clearly she is talking to them.

I'm sure as time goes on we'll find she's been saying words for much longer than we've been correctly interpreting what she's saying.

Yeah, Parker doesn't really say anything recognizable. He says "mama" when he is tired or upset, but I don't know if he always links me to it. I am ready for him to start connecting some words to items!

Taylor doesn't really say much either. She says mama when she's upset, and dada towards DH. She saw uh-oh and Daga which I think is dog? And then 'dis and 'dat for this and that but that's all we have over here. This has been her vocab for the past 2 months or so now. Like you said, it will develop eventually
Baby Taylor arrived on 01/04/2011 at 9:26pm weighing 7lbs 8oz and 19 inches long

Beth babbles and sometimes it sounds like she is saying an actual word. She has said uh-oh and would say it and drop something and when she hands us something we say thank you and it seems she tries to say that back to us but only we would know it, others probably couldn't tell. she copies us more and more and babbble a lot.

Cora says mama, dada, and is very close to some form of Elliott (big brother). She waves bye bye also, but doesn't say the words. DS was very slow to speak but I think Cora will pick it up quicker. She definitely understands a lot of what we say.
