I do love this time of year, but things started getting awkward between me and DH's grandma and great grandma even before Thanksgiving. They get upset when I'm not there visiting them every couple of days like I used to before i got pregnant. It's just not that easy with a baby anymore. They don't really understand why I can't be there every day. They even think I don't love them anymore. Nothing could be farther from the truth, but I don't know what else to tell them. I'm not trying to avoid them.

SIL feels the same way and she is even trying to beg me for rides whenever and wherever she needs them in exchange for her bf/fiancé doing car work for just the costs of parts for my car. I just don't want to and can't commit to something like that and she keeps pressing me for answers. I sidestep that because I know she will get upset and offended if I really tell her exactly why. She flies off the handle kinda easily and why isn't her fault at all (traumatic brain injury and bipolar), but I just can't be around her all the time.

Things are a more comfortable with DH's parents, but MIL is very opinionated and our personalities sometimes clash. Over all though, visiting them is easier because they don't guilt trip us for not being there every day.

DH completely understands my qualms about spending a lot of time with his sister and why I just can't go everywhere anymore like I used to, but he doesn't know quite what to say to either of them without making the situation worse.

Thanks for reading my pointless rambling. Any advice would be appreciated.
