How are the kiddos progressing with speech?

J's has really picked up in the last few weeks. He's said the basics like mom, dad, brother's name, ni-niiite, more (when referring to food), uh-oh when he drops something... but now he calls the Christmas tree "Don't".. hahahaa!! We're guessing bc we always say "Don't touch." & then over the weekend he started going over to the front door and saying "OUT." hahhaaa. Get me outta here!

I'm sure there's more but I can't think right now. Too early. LOL. What's everyone else saying?

Awww!! Gary says Ma and Dada or daddy. He says Bah boy to the dogs. . .lol and points his finger at them, its so cute. Uh oh everytime he drops something or someone else drops something.
He says Cheeeese for pictures (which i have a video of on fb bc its so cute!) He says "Goooo" alllll the time in the shopping cart. He says no and bye I think thats pretty much all he uses correctly. . .but when we say things a lot he starts saying them or TRYING to lol
he's just started nodding yes and shaking his head no too (sometimes he just randomly does it and it looks like he has problems lol)

Right! this is soooo fun and his voice is so inquisitive! He's like babbling baby talk and then will say no? Like make it a question and we start laughing so hard!

Something he has been consistently saying is "wazeee?" (What's this?) and pointing at things, then expecting us to name the object. He does this all the time. He can say bye-bye and wave and he calls DH "pa-pa!"

Don't - hahaha that's too funny!

Nathan says mama dada Ayla (or yaya - both mean Kayla) Go!! Ni-ni and uh oh!

I can't wait until he starts talking more (though my dd never stops talking so I may regret wishing that lol)

Josie doesn't say many real words but we can figure out what she means. She also says something like wazee for "what's that", dadda, mama, bap (this is for Pumpkin the cat, not sure where that one came from!), and uhh (for up). She also does some pretty animated babble with all the right intonations but no real words.

Duncan does this too! He constantly says "wazzah?" (what's that?) and points at things. Other than that he says uh-oh and "Aye-ya" (Stella).

Jon's not much of a talker. He points and grunts. He also likes to "sing". Whenever we're in the car he sings but it's unintelligible.

Pea says mama, dada, what, nigh nigh, uh oh, ... I think that's it. As for mama and dada she doesn't say it to us but she says it. I think she says "What" because when she would say mama I would say "what" so she would know I'm mama, well now she says what when I call for her lol.

That's so funny Miranda. WHAT?!!

My older son started calling me "Honey" for a few months when he was about 15-18mo because that's what hubs calls me. We would be in a store and you would hear him yell out "HOOOONNEYYYYY!" hahaha.
