do you punish or let your child for messes and spills or just consider it normal? Im not sure if she's exploring or doing it on purpose. But usually does it after a tantrum

I don't punish him. At least, I haven't yet. I give him a stern "no-no" and shake my head for effect. I like to think he's still figuring it out, and give him the benefit of the doubt.

I tell her no and that we don't do that and have to be careful not to make messes. Then ask her to help me clean up (which she usually doesn't yet lol)

Thanks to Bokkechick for my siggy.

I do not punish for accidents. If I see him deliberately pour something out, I will take away whatever it was since he obviously does't want to consume it. I don't think 2 year olds understand punishment anyway.

If she does it on purpose (like throws to the ground while throwing a fit or gets mad and throws it...) then yes, she does get in trouble. But, if she just spills something or knocks something over then I tell ask her to be careful and try and help clean up.

I don't punish her because accidents happen.
