Do you have any big cleaning or organizational projects going on right now??
How are they going?
If you haven't started on them yet, what is holding you back?

How are they going? Most of them are only half way finished.
If you haven't started on them yet, what is holding you back? Lack of time is what is keeping me from finishing them. Projects I haven't started yet are being put on hold because I have so many that need to get done first.

My current on-going project is to re-paint the baseboards. When we moved in they were painted a flat white. I like a high gloss. Over the last few years the vacuum has done a number on them, so it is time to re-paint. I started before school let out - I've got half the house done by now, but still have a lot to go. Not motivated to do it now that the kids are out of school. I guess I'll pick up again later...

An outdoor kitchen is what I am thinking to build at my new home and this will indeed be an organizational project. For that I have also asked for guidance from the professionals at northhomegallery.com.au as they have a huge experience in this.

We're doing a major cleaning project next weekend and the week after that. We want to declutter a few rooms in the house, especially the kitchen and our kids' bedrooms. Hopefully, by the end of this month, there would be some major improvements.

Hi, guys! I'm working on a cleaning schedule right now. I'm thinking of dividing the tasks in daily, weekly and monthly. This way I'll be able to do everything on the list little by little without going crazy.

I remember the first time I ever went to the container store. It was bright, big, open and organized and I was beyond confused. (Did I mention I was also 7 years old?)

I remember vividly asking my parents,

“So, they just sell boxes?” I didn’t get it.

Fast forward 15 years in the future and there I was with my fiancé wandering around the local Container Store with our own tape measurer, list of rooms and oogling over the sliding drawers we can have installed in our upper cabinets. I get it now. And I get why you want to hop in the car and pick up those cute fabric bins from Target, schedule a day at Ikea or splurge on the ultimate bamboo drawer dividers.

But WAIT!!

Before you go to the container store, I need you to know something:

“Organizing Products are the #1 Thing You are Buying that is Keeping You DISORGANIZED”

It isn’t the pairs of 500 shoes or 75 skinny Sharpies that appear all over the house or mountains of toys that your kids amass like some sort of dragon with a hoard. The fact that you are buying more bins, more baskets, more boxes more containers to keep all this stuff is why you can’t seem to ever keep your house clean.

I know because I've been there.

It feels clean and organized at first, but do you ever wonder why in the world you can’t keep it that way? Why you’re organizing your junk drawer for the 12th time even though you have that nice expandable divider in it? Why you seem to be in a constant decluttering battle?

Maybe the answer is not that you need more organizing projects or betterorganizing products. The answer is that you have too many.

It’s crazy! We spend all this time shuffling around and organizing our stuff without ever even stopping to think if we still need it. I've noticed when I stop and take stock of the area I need to organize and get rid of the stuff that's broken or I just don't use or like, I usually don't need to go out and buy more containers for it.

What're your thoughts??
