...or other Islamic concepts Did they start by asking questions? I am sure there are some funny stories out there!

I am also curious because I was not raised in any religion myself and so my only experience with this is my own son!

I think the concept of Allah has always been apart of our life.. when he was 1 his grandfather passed away and when he was 3 it was the first chance to visit the grave site, he asked where Baba (his g-pa) was we explained behind a door was his body, he said well I want to open and go with him or can i just open it and let him out.. that was the first real convo about Allah and what happens after death. With my daughter the conversations came much earlier.
Thank you Heather(hettyhoo) for my beautiful siggy

Very interesting! I can see how a death might open up that kind of discussion, my son hasn't had the experience yet of the death of someone he knows, though we have talked about other relatives who have died (before he was born). With us I think the first conversations about Allah were in relation to making dua and praying and what that meant, in terms of Allah as the one who created and watches over all things, who is always there to help us. Still it comes up most in relation to prayer, but I hope to be able to add more details and info as it would help him (it would help to have some age-appropriate books too, as there's not really anybody else to talk about God with him and I feel sometimes different approaches might help as I have little experience!).

What kind of conversations did you have with your daughter about it?
