I was at work on Sunday. And this lady (maybe mid 30's) had her tiny baby with her. The baby was 2 months old. So beautiful, a little bi-racial girl. She was half white, and half african-american. She had the brightest blue eyes. And she was in the stroller. I'm telling you, she was 2 months old, and she had her in there without the car seat, she just had her sitting on the stroller. Poor thing, was gliding off. I don't even think she was buckled in. Well, she looked so uncomfortable, and she was crying. So her mother kept giving her the 'binkie'...but the baby couldn't hold on to it. She kept dropping it. And then I guess the mother got annoyed, she jammed that thing in her mouth. It was so sad to see. The baby was clearly shocked, she stopped crying...but then she started up again. So the mom grabbed a bottle, and jammed it in her mouth, and was saying 'God, shut up you stupid baby'...it was breaking my heart! This lady was soooo cold hearted! I felt like taking that baby and just running away with her. I wanted to give her my boob, I know that baby was hungry, and uncomfortable. And it was cold out. And she just had her in a regular thin baby sleeper. Ugh!!

I just, ugh, I wish there was something I could have done to soothe that baby girl.

Some people, really...don't deserve babies.

I felt like crying, knowing that that was that baby's mother. Poor thing.

that would have upset me.

Gaby went in her PRAM from birth - but I'm thinking that's different to a stroller? (ie the seat lay all the way back, so it's not like she was sitting up in it)

That is soooo heartbreaking and uncalled for! How could she be so cold hearted to her daughter like that, she is crying to let you know somethings wrong not to just make your life miserable!!

That is one of the biggest, if not the major-est reason why I LOATHE working retail, especially a place like Kmart. You get to see all the low-income people...all the ghetto people. Not all low-income people are ghetto, but if you've worked retail, you know what I'm talking about. You see it all. And that is what I see on a regular basis. Even some of the moms straight out tell you, that the only reason why they keep popping kids out is for their welfare to increase. And it does, but the money goes to partying, booze, drugs...and not the kids. I HATE IT.
I am so happy to go to Santa Barbara, I won't see much of that there...but still. I wish I could just take all these children, and nurture them.

I swore I commented asking a question but guess I am going crazy. lol I was asking if it was laying back or if she had it up? Abby couldn't even have it up at like 4-5 months. Hopefully she is not like that all the time.

She had it folded up. Which is why I was disturbed. I used to lay Avi in her stroller without the carseat...folded down. So she was laying, as in a bassinet...ya know? I would strap her in, and cover her up...I would do that when I didn't feel like taking out the car seat...but ya. The baby was all slouched over because she's obviously still too tiny to be 'sitting' up....

That's so sad. Only two months.

Isabelle won't even go in a stroller. I have to use the baby sling.
