Last week and this weekend, I was at my mom's house spending time with my family. I watched my niece and nephew for a little while, and we used the cricut to make a card for their cousin's b-day party. My nephew had a blast (he is 2 1/2 years) he loved the paper pups! My sister asked where we got the fun shapes, and I showed her the cricut. She said "I wish I had time like you, to play with paper and have fun hobbies."

She was referring to the fact that my DH and I made arrangements and sacrifices so that I could be a SAHM. She thinks that because I have no job to clock into every day, that I have nothing else to do. Have I mentioned that my Christmas tree is still up?? LOL I mean yeah, I guess I could have spent naptime doing some things instead of JM, but even at a regular 9-5 you get a break for lunch! I know her comment was more that she is upset because she wants to be a SAHM, but her and her DH don't want to follow through with the choices they need to make in order for that to happen. She was just kinda mean when she said it.

So here is my question. For all you working mommies AND stay at home mommies, how do you find the time to scrapbook and do other hobbies, and when do you usually do them?

When I do have a good hour or so to get something solid accomplished, it is either during nap, or on the weekend when DH takes over a lot of the parenting duties like diapering and feeding. He misses Jonah during the weekdays, so he tells me that Saturday is his day with Jonah and my "Mommy day" He even lets me sleep in (sleeping is a lost hobby that I deeply miss LOL)

Thank You, Pattyandthemoos, for my beautiful siggy!

With a new baby it's been very hard lately to make time. Like right now Cody is sleeping, Sebastian, Wesley and Zach are playing here and there, so I am on JM. I will usually try to do something in these few minutes for myself(I just got the living room picked up).

I will sometimes leave JM up and pop in when I'm not doing something. What I really would like to do is sleep but the other 3 kids don't nap at the same time so I'm seriously out of luck.

Scrapbooking is my main hobby right now until I catch up on past years that I still have to do

Before Patrick was born, I would usually scrap either during Erin's nap or after she went to bed (usually at the expense of something else that really needed doing!)

But I haven't scrapped since Patrick was born (but he's only 12 days old...so....)
Thanks to babydoll213 for the siggy! My kids' blog Cora's blog
