What are your plans this weekend? Are you getting any scrapping done?

We are painting, wallpapering, and laying flooring in our master bedroom. We are also hoping to paint Sydney's bedroom. My mom and MIL will be here to help us. So 4 adults should be able to get a lot done. Or at least I would hope they would.

Saturday is Caden's 3rd birthday party!! Should be a lot of fun. Sunday we're relaxing and hopefully cleaning - this place is a mess! Its been a super busy week. I'd like to scrap - I have the main parts done for thank you cards but I have a feeling they'll get set aside and I'll just buy some to get them out.

Thanks to Jaidynsmum for my adorable siggy! ~*~ Blog ~*~bfp Chart

After I clean (and get another box ready for a garage sale.) I might do some scrapping (or I might convince my mom to give me the box of old pictures that she has of me and start planning pages.)

Thank you to the wonderful ladies who mad the blinkies!

"The Lord compensates the faithful for every loss. That which is taken away from those who love the Lord will be added unto them in His own way. While it may not come at the time we desire, the faithful will know that every tear today will eventually be returned a hundredfold with tears of rejoicing and gratitude..... These experiences, while often difficult to bear at the time, are percisely the kinds of experiences that stretch our understanding, build our character and increase our compassion for others."

My weekend is being spent sewing dance costumes.

Yesterday I made 12 skirts for a a class that needs a "dutch girl" costume. We had ordered 12 skirts and they came in a horrendus orange color rather than the yellow we wanted so...we said forget it! And made white ones ourselves. Looks much nicer. Plus...we wouldn't have the new skirts in on time if we re-ordered things.

Today...I have to make the little apron for the skirts and add sequins and such to the edges to jazz it up.

How sad that we spent $14 each skirt from the costume house...and ended up making our own skirts for under $25 total!?!?!

Mental note for next year. Don't order skirts...just make them!!!
