mine is actually a very personal reason...

I'm adopted by my paternal grandmother. She adopted me and my brother (11 months younger than I am) when I was two. By then I was already walking and talking like most kids, but since my father was in the Air Force and my bio mother is a dead beat I have no account of when I hit any of my milestones... don't even know what my first word was.

I want the girls to be able to look back as adults and know anything they want. I don't plan on giving them up, but I don't want to forget or them lose the info anyother way.

Especially Carrie. Its a way to highlight her condition without one day handing her a stack of medical records

"Disability is not a brave struggle or ‘courage in the face of adversity.’ Disability is an art. It’s an ingenious way to live."

I do it because I want a way to display all the pictures I've taken rather then just having them in an album. It's a way my kids can look back and see what they have done in thier lives.
