This week marked remembrance day, I want to honer that in this challenge and I am using the red poppies as inspiration, so for this challenge I want you to use red as your dominant color, or if you don't like so much red you can use at least one red flower instead

I'm not at all thrilled with the title. lol I wanted it to be dark brown, but I apparently have no brown (how is that possible?). And I should have cut it a little smaller but didn't realize how big it would come out. *sigh* oh well.

This inspired me to scrap the miscarriage. This is the page of journaling. That's the short version. I'm going to print out the longer version (propbably a copy & paste from my blog) and tuck it under the red matting where I've also put a couple cards. I realize I didn't take any of your advice, or my own (I didn't want to use black) for scrapping this, but I think I like the way it came out. It has a sister page which will be in the Nov pages thread.

Using red made me immediately think of last year's Christmas pics for my nieces album. This is a 2 page layout. Right side completes the weekly challenge of weaving ribbon) so left side will be for this challenge. I ran out of adhesive and DH is using computer where I print my pics so the rest of the pics will be put on once I have them printed and can stick them down.

I think I'm going to steal that Christmas tree idea next time I scrap Christmas pics Becky! Looks like fun!

I totally can't do pages without pictures though. Having the pictures is integral to how I scrap, I'm totally lost if I don't have them. I'm sort of impressed by you ladies who ca do that.

Steal away. I had seen it done a little differently (was a whole tree made from scraps of ribbon) on a website once as a card and immediately thought that I can do that for a page and use paper. I ended up liking it as part of the tree and plan on putting pics (small wallet size) on the tree and will do the same size for additional pics under their Christmas card.

I've just in the past year started doing pages without having the pics ready. It was hard at first, but now not so hard. I also have a feel already for how the pics will look and be placed anyway so that helps.
