My Wal Mart stopped carrying the sleeves I need a while back. Now they don't seem to carry the Scotch photo splits that I so heavily rely on. They have another brand that is more expensive and only comes in boxes of 250, which won't last long! Stupid Wal Mart! I don't buy much there for scrapbooking, but I'm so far from any craft store. Sometimes I buy paper packs and they used to carry Martha Stewart paper packs but they don't have those either. Stupid Wal Mart!

Anyone else think their craft section blows?

I did buy some buttons today, though! So now I'm prepared for the next button challenge!

Mine just recently downsized considerably. But they're across the street from Hobby Lobby and both Joanne's and Michael's down the street (and an Archiver's not to far from me in the other direction), so I'm not out too much. I noticed they got rid of the photosplits though. I got a box on clearance.

Wish I had seen them on clearance! Supposedly all Wal Marts are supposed to be downsizing like that, fabric section included. Does yours have a fabric dept anymore? The ones that have been remodeled don't have fabric by the yard, it's all in precut packs. But it totally sucks because where I live there are no other options! Which there really should be, I think a JoAnns or Michaels or Hobby Lobby would do great here!! So I wish they would leave the craft dept the way they were for towns like this! Oh well...

As far as I can tell they've left the fabric intact. The one I used to work at in a little town in Idaho got rid of theirs. There was a craft store though, that sold really overpriced fabric. But their scrapbook section was HUGE.

I'm not sure if the one here is going to get rid of the fabric though, it's pretty popular even with the other stores nearby.

Wal Mart doesn't care. I used to work there.. decisions are made from Arkansas and it never seemed like they cared much about what worked in a specific store, it was the overall that mattered. So IDK... I hope they do keep fabric in some stores.

They've downsized their craft areas here to. I was able to get some cricut carts on clearance this summer though for @ $20 (Wildcart & one other, can't remember the name). They're phasing out the Martha Stewart and going to a ColorBlock brandname. I rarely shop there anymore for scrapbooking. It's a shame.
