Do you have one?

It seems, to me at least, a lot of the independent small scrap stores are being pushed out of business by the larger stores. We had an adorable little shop that had all sorts of things you couldn't get at the other stores, held classes and crops, etc. But the did close down several months ago. The were priced higher than Joann and Michaels so I didn't do all my shopping there, but I loved to see what they had, browse, and I always went there for special projects and better quality paper and patterns you couldn't get at the other stores.

Thanks to Jaidynsmum for my adorable siggy! ~*~ Blog ~*~bfp Chart

I LOVE my LSS. They have so much that you just can't get at the bigger chains, and the owner will special order in anything she can.

My closest LSS is about an hour away. We have had quite a few start up closer, but they don't last very long. I don't do much shopping at the LSS because 1) it is an hour away and 2) they cater more to sewing, knitting, crocheting, and beading than scrapping. I did try to do quite a bit of shopping at the ones that were a little closer to me while they were in business though. Sad to see them go.

I don't believe I have any close by to me, I haven't seen any in my shopping ventures. There are more Michael's stores then anything else, 1 big JoAnn's, and a couple of HobbyLobby's.

Thanks Jaidynsmum for another perfect siggy!!

When I started scrapping I lived in Phoenix I kid you not there were 7 stores with in about 20 minutes of our house. All but one are gone now.

We had two in Norman an hour away but one just closed recently.

We had one, but it closed probably 5 years ago. It went in there every once in a while to look around. Other than that, we just have Michael's and a small Joann Fabrics.
