Going back to a card I did in the past...

Today's technique/tutorial is: Acetate Card

Here is the tutorial for this technique: Splitcoaststampers - Acetate Card Project Tutorial by Linda Nicholson

Approximate time from start to finish: About 10 - 20 minutes

Difficulty: I'm going to say a 2.

Be sure to press straight down on your stamp (but not to hard) as the ink tends to slip on the acetate and easily smears.

Once you have your acetate cut, score your fold line but wait to fold it until after you have stamped your background. Use a piece of scrap paper to cover the portion of the card you do not want stamped. Let the ink dry and then fold the card. I noticed that my card wanted to pop back up at the fold which caused some smudging when stamped.

Even the StazOn ink takes a while to dry on the acetate.

Some acetate has a film on 1 side of the page - be careful when wiping off fingerprints, etc as some of the film may come off and leave kind of an eraser looking streak.

Here is a pic of my finished project!

Now it is your turn! I challenge you to try this elegant looking card!!

That's a cute card. I've tried this before, and got so frustrated when it smeared. I know I didn't wait long enough for the ink to dry, I'm just too impatient.

Thanks Jaidynsmum for another perfect siggy!!
