Hi! My name is Leanne and i'm currently expecting #3. I have never had GD before but this time I failed my one hour, I was at 144 and they want me to be below 140. So I went in yesterday for the 3 hour and 20 minutes away from the one hour draw I threw up the drink..........ALL of it. So now I need to try again. I was wondering if anyone had any tips for how to keep it down. I had to drink two bottles of the stuff within 5 minutes and I think that was part of the problem.

Also does anyone know how much hydration can affect my levels. When I did the one hour I was pretty dehydrated. We are stationed in Guam (a tropical island) and I have to work very hard to stay hydrated. I thought I was doing ok but my dr said I was dehydrated and it was affecting my pulse rate. I was just wondering if (like they said) it could contribute to my levels being a bit higher.

Thank you so much for any help and advice you have!

Thank you Cavewoman!!

I dont know much about hydration levels, nor do I know of any tips to keep the drink down. I would say if you start to feel queazy ask the office if you can lay down.
