Vivian Faith's Birth Story. I started off with the night before I went into labor since I felt that was really kind of the beginning.

I worked Sunday night, and started having contractions which got worse around 9:00, so I told the manager that I needed to go home because I needed to go to the hospital. He threw an attitude at me because we were already short a person and basically, he doesn't know how to do his job, so he started freaking out and was like "How do you expect me to close the store now? Just curious!" I wanted to deck him. I really didn't give a f*** how he was going to close the store because I thought I was in labor and I had to drive home. Anyway, I got home and sat down for a bit and the contractions stopped so we ended up not going to the hospital.

Monday evening I had to work again. It was a better night than Sunday but again, around 8 or 9 I started having issues with contractions, this time they were getting closer. I went to the bathroom and saw a little bit of blood, so I tried to call someone in to finish my shift, even though it was only an hr. I ended up staying because the girl I called couldn't come in and my contractions still weren't any closer than 10 minutes apart. I left at 10:00, went straight home, told Eric we had to go to the hospital and finished packing a couple things. We got to the hospital and checked in and then they monitored my contractions for a bit.

Then the nurse checked my cervix and I was dilated 4 cm and then she followed it with "I'm going to have them come in and do an ultrasound just to check the baby's position. I didn't think anything of it. I started getting nauseated, contractions were getting closer, and after the ultrasound the nurse came back in and told me "Your baby is upside down! You're going to be staying here tonight. I was excited that I was having the baby but it still didn't register to me that she was telling me the baby was breech. So when the other nurse told me that in about half an hr I was going into the operating room for a c section I started freaking out. I was crying that I couldn't do this without Eric and I didn't have anyone to watch Athena.

They told me the nurses would watch Athena if we were ok with it, so that Eric could stay with me. I instantly felt so much better! LOL. I didn't even care that I was having surgery because I was relieved Eric was going to be there with me. When they showed her to me I cried! She was so perfect! 6 lbs 9 oz 20 1/2 in (1 lb 1 oz 1 in smaller than Athena was). After they were done, they brought Athena into the next room that they took me to and I thought she was going to freak out when she saw Vivian, but she didn't. She had a confused look on her face and then she was all smiles and laughs from there.

I'm so happy that she's home and there was no NICU visit involved and I'm not pregnant anymore!!! LOL I already feel like myself again aside from the little bit of pain from the c section.

I'm glad it all ended up well, even with the unexpected c-section. I would have asked your boss if he preferred figuring out how to close the store or helping you deliver a baby on top of all the inventory.

I think I would like to meet your boss in an alley one night...Just saying.

Glad everything turned out alright for you and your sweet girl Vivian! It's amazing what we women think about and worry about the most even if we're facing a c-section

ehh im not worried about him. he's just a shift manager. i was supposed to get my own store but then i had to tell them i was pregnant and those plans were put on hold. i just looked at him when he said that and i was like "um, i'm sorry, would you like me to deliver this baby in this store tonight??" the owner and the store manager later told him he was being unreasonable and he didn't understand. LOL

My contractions weren't strong enough yet and they definately weren't close enough. I figured I would do my best to stay the last hour but if they got stronger or closer together I was going to go.
