I mentioned this in the FB page but I believe my daughter (20 months) has self-weaned. She hasn't breastfed in 7 days. I'm kind of relieved since it will give me a break between LO's. Although she was only nursing 1x a day.

I'm only BF once a day too!! But will only for like 2 more weeks max! (her 1st bday) but we slowly weaned her! I kinda want my boobs back plus she's starting daycare and I'll be at work! Don't want to pump! But congrats making it till 20 months!!! A great milestone!!! One year was my goal and will be for #2! but at the same time it's sad that soon I won't feed her like that anymore! Our babies are growing up!!!! *sniffle

Yes, I was hoping for a break. But it's still kind of sad.

That is awesome that you made it that far Leigh! Even if you are ready physically, it still takes it's emotional toll! I was ready to go as long as Collin wanted, and he just flat out refused one day just after his first birthday...took me awhile to get over it!

It's really bittersweet when they wean.. but 20 months is awesome!! Rylan weaned at about 18 1/2 months.. I was trying to night wean him, but he ended up weaning completely. I'm hoping to make it to 2 years with this baby.

Yay for the break! I've never had one wean before they were 2...so I've always nursed through pregnancy and tandem nursed. As much as I love tandem nursing (I really really do, I think it makes the transition SO much easier for the toddler!!) I've often hoped for a break during pregnancy. It can be exhausting!
