I had my OB nurse appointment. It lasted surprisingly long, but then we had to go over all of my pregnancies so I guess considering that it wasn't too bad. I kept forgetting important details about the pregnancies though, like oh say I tend to bleed a lot after I deliver, and some other minor important details, lol. With each pregnancy should would ask something, and I would be like, Not, yet! Wait until the next one or with a later pregnancy, lol. (Oh, like my extremely fast labor where I went from 5cm to delivered in 3 contractions... the entire labor was like 3 hours, amost needed a blood transfution with that one and passed out on the way from the labor/delivery room to the post partumroom) Then the preterm labor, the meds I was on, the positive fetal fibronectin, the bedrest (I think I told her about that...), etc. After that we just went into family health. I told her that I was going to need something for my migraines since I can't take my excedrin. She said I can take it, but I can only take it sparingly. I still think I need to talk to the doctor about it. It can cause bleeding.

The nurse said that my next ultrasound would be around 20 weeks, but it was likely because of my history of irritable uterus and then preterm labor, and laser CO2 cone, I would likely get extra ultrasounds (several extra) to check cervical length and such. Fine with me!

Sort of disappointed though, their prenatal packet kind of sucked. It was just a packet full of pamphlets and stuff. All my other OBs had cool goodies to give like preggie pops, tums, the goodies from the formula company, newborn diapers, coupons, etc. I was offered the book What to Expect When You're Expecting, but I declined it. Its a freebie from the hospital I guess. I wont read it since I've had it a couple times in the past and well, I have better apps on my phone.

My next appointment is Dec. 23rd. They said they will want to do a pelvic for cultures and stuff, even though I wont need a pap. I find that obsurd and I think I will attempt to decline it unless they can come up with a good reason I need cultures done. I haven't been unfaithful, and I trust my husband so...

Ohhh all in all sounds like a great appointment! I'm glad it went well. Sorry they didn't have any cool goodies to give you this time. I think they all should have cool things like free mags on parenting, a copy of Chicken Soup for the Mother-to-be's Soul...stuff like that! Give us something fun to do while we wait, right? Ohhhh a baby name book would be cool too! We should come up with our own and market it LOL.

But all joking aside, I'm so happy everything is going better with you and the little bean is right on track Can't wait for more pics from more u/s

OMGosh!! That sounds like an awesome idea! Free magazines, coupons to local eateries, funny books to read, coupons for maternity clothes... That would be AWESOME! LOL

The way the nurse kept talking though, I wasn't sure if she was referring to my history of preterm labor, or the SCH, or both. She kept talking like I am currently a high risk patient. Like she wasn't sure if the doc was going to want to put restrictions on sex like pelvic rest, then made comments that seemed more towards the preterm labor... It was odd.

Don't be afraid to ask or call if you're confused on anything hun. You have a right to get things cleared up. I know DH hasn't been getting any until the doc says all id well for the baby But he feels the same, he doesn't want to hurt the little bean. I'm sure everything will be fine for us both You'll get your answers soon I'm sure. I hope this pg you're able to live a little more, but if not, we'll keep you company I'll send you books I find

Generally the main ingredients in Excedrin are acetaminophen, aspirin and caffeine. It makes sense that aspirin could cause spotting since its a blood thinner. But I wonder if tylenol and some caffeine would work for you.
