do you plan your days with to do lists or do you go with the flow???

usually i have a few things i need to get done each day, and then those few things end up turning into a few more things that end up filling up my days..

obviously everyday i have to get the boys to and from school and make bottles and do dinner.
Today the only things on my must do list were take hannah to the doctor (done) call about my EI (done) and go to safeway (not done, will go on the way to getting the boys)
But also in there somehow, i threw on my list, 3 loads of laundry, coffee with a friend this morning (which was the most important thing of the day LOL because i needed the adult conversation LOL) , and now im sitting at my computer desk scarfing lunch hoping to squeeze in a shower before hannah wakes up, and i threw on there a 330 meeting with a social worker from matthews daycare.

I guess I go with the flow because each day brings new things that need to be done like for example tomorrow morning i have to line up to register matthew for kindergarten...apparently is so popular that now you line up and its a first come bases, but im hoping since christopher will be in grade four next year that im golden with a spot but i gotta line up just to be sure

My goal each day is to make sure Max, Natalie and Adam have food to eat, get Max to school on time, and clean clothes to wear for everyone... anything else is just extra. I've been having some PPD and it gets worse mid day when Natalie is cranky/won't nap, and the lingering thought of a hundred more days of this looms ahead, so i generally try to get something accomplished in the morning when my energy is at it's highest - a few thank you notes, wash bottles, run to target, etc. But if i don't get any of it done, I'm learning to be okay wiht that too. The first few weeks are so tough that just making it through the day with everyone clean and fed is an accomplishment in my book!

If I have something big to do that day, then I will make a to-do list of what I need to do to get that thing accomplished. Otherwise, my day is normally pretty much the same. Clean, laundry, take care of baby in between. If Bella is home with us, then the cleaning and laundry get scratched.

Thank you, tasha_mae, for my very special siggy!

I have to get DS to school every morning and be here when he gets home. On Tuesdays, he goes to karate. The rest of the week, I plan out which days I will clean, do laundry, go grocery shopping, schedule play dates, and do my schoolwork. Every day I have to make breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and care for my DD and soon my new LO.

If I don't make a plan for each day, then something doesn't get done. So, I have to plan.

It really depends. Lately I have not been sing one, but I do use them when I am at work. I probably will start using them again though because I really could be doing more around the house while I am on leave.

When they persisted in questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "Let the person among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her." John 8:7

My days are about making sure I eat, take care of my breakfast/lunch dishes, drink enough water, change diapers and diaper laundry. If I can do more, that's a bonus. I hope as the weeks go by I can get more done like grocery shopping, getting back to couponing and work on some professional development for work since I will be jobless come July
